Don’t Fall Asleep (Fan Film) Review

Don’t Fall asleep is an fan film that takes place on the aftermath of the original Wes Craven’s A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) and before A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors (1987). I felt like it was almost a full length feature film that deserves to be in theaters. This fan film is actually a true sequel/prequel of the Nightmare franchises, forget Freddy’s Revenge this should’ve been the sequel about Nancy’s story and trying to survive from Freddy. Diandra Lazor did a excellent job on playing Nancy Thompson and she really did look like Heather Langenkamp when she was young. There were a couple of scenes that were quite dark and can barely what’s happening but the environment, the elements, and the actor that played Freddy Krueger really nailed it. Even Heather Langenkamp narrates this fan film that was a BIG surprise.

Nancy has been committed to an institution and it was on the aftermath from the first film. She tries warn everyone at the institute that Freddy is real but no one believes her story, either she’s going crazy or Freddy is making her crazy? Nancy must fight back in order to get out from the looney bin before she goes insane. This fan film is an A+ horror fan film, totally worth watching and if Wes Craven were alive now he would be very proud. I hope it comes to Blu-Ray/DVD, if they do that but hardly doubted they will.
